For 60 years, Goodwill has been instrumental in helping people break down barriers to employment. In fact, it’s their actual mission. Indeed Flex has partnered with Goodwill Central Texas to help strive toward our shared goals of empowering people and advancing employment. 
We spoke with Lindsey McQuistion, Manager of Career Services in Workforce Advancement, at Goodwill Central Texas. We asked to speak to the Goodwill/Indeed Flex partnership, and her passion for helping others shines through when speaking to the organization.
“For six decades, Goodwill Central Texas (GCT) has relentlessly focused on a single goal: Transforming generations by empowering people through education, career training, and work. GCT believes that education and work are the only true pathways out of poverty and strives to provide opportunities for people in our community who face obstacles to sustainable employment.
GCT provides case management services that support individuals to reach their career goals and build financial stability with specific programming for young adults, Veterans, those with court system involvement, and individuals with disabilities. Connection to Career Advancement Training equips participants with a solid understanding of what it means to be successful in the workplace, engage in behaviors conducive to job retention, and plan for career advancement. Included in these training courses is an emphasis on Digital Skills Training and Financial Empowerment Training.
Flexible employment opportunities are essential for our participants while moving towards long-term employment goals. Indeed Flex has added another option for our clients to expand their employment experiences, build new skills, and move towards financial stability.”
