Restaurant Busser – Flexible Shifts with Same Day Pay

Pay Rate: $16/hour - $25/hour
Location: Austin, TX (Domain)

Job Overview:

Indeed Flex is hiring Bussers to join our team! You will be a crucial link in the service chain, responsible for stocking essential tools and maintaining the dining room to ensure the service team and restaurant operate efficiently.
Teamwork, organization, and a strong awareness of the dining environment are necessary for success in this position.

Responsibilities: Core Service Support:

• Transport dirty dishes to the bus tub/tray or dish room, following all restaurant specifications.
• Polish and stock all silverware, glassware, plateware, and other service utensils coming from the dish room to the various service stations in the restaurant.
• Maintain each service station throughout the shift, following all zoning and pars.
• Assist with Coffee Person and/or Dishwasher duties as directed.
• Stock the essential tools needed to assist the service team and restaurant in performing efficiently.

Operational & Safety:

• Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment.
• Comply with all safety and sanitation (including handwashing) guidelines and procedures.
• Follow all rules, policies, procedures, and conditions of employment, including those outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Other duties will be assigned as needed.

Requirements:

• Able to communicate in English in order to comprehend and perform/follow job requirements in written and spoken direction.
• Ability to perform more than one task at a time, calmly and effectively in an extremely busy and stressful work environment.
• Must be able to work in a confined, crowded space of variable noise and temperature levels.
• Ability to get along with others and be a team player.
• Be able to work a variety of hours, days, and shifts, including weekends.
• Able to stand and walk for an entire shift, including moving safely through all areas of the restaurant (accessibility varies by location).
• Able to lift and move up to 10 pounds frequently, lift and/or move up to 25 pounds frequently, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Be proficient in the use and operation of all necessary tools and equipment.
