Now Hiring: Event Line Cooks – Private Events & Weddings (Chicago, IL)

Shift Type: Event-Based | Flexible Scheduling
Pay: $16.00 – $20.00/hr (based on experience & event type)

Indeed Flex is hiring Event Line Cooks to support private events, weddings, galas, and corporate functions across Chicago. These roles range from elegant, plated wedding service to high-volume buffet and banquet-style events, offering variety and flexibility for experienced cooks.

If you’re comfortable working in polished event settings while maintaining speed, consistency, and food quality, we want to hear from you.

Interview Requirement: Please arrive dressed in a proper kitchen uniform.

Job Requirements

• 6 months of line cook or banquet cook experience (catering or event experience preferred)
• Non-slip shoes and proper kitchen attire
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
• Professional demeanor, reliability, and strong teamwork skills

What You’ll Be Doing

• Prepare and execute menu items for private events, including weddings and corporate functions
• Support plated service, buffets, and banquet-style meal execution
• Maintain strict food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards
• Keep stations organized, stocked, and ready for service
• Assist with prep, breakdown, and post-event cleanup
