Kitchen Porter (Dishwasher) – Soho House Austin

Pay: $19/hr Schedule: Varies based on house events and demand (includes evenings, weekends, and holidays).

Location: Soho House Austin – 1011 S Congress Ave.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):

As a Kitchen Porter, you are fully responsible for the sanitation and organization of the kitchen’s hardware:

• Sanitization Excellence: Maintain the total cleanliness of all kitchen items, including pots, pans, silverware, dishware, and glassware.
• Inventory Organization: Ensure all cleaned items are stored correctly in their designated areas to keep the line moving.
• Waste Management: Take out garbage and recycling as needed throughout the shift to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.
• Culinary Support: Directly support the Chef on Duty with cleaning tasks, organization, and other duties as assigned to keep the kitchen running smoothly.
• Safety First: Follow all health department regulations and safety protocols at all times.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proactive Mindset: A "no task is too small" attitude and the ability to anticipate the needs of the kitchen.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, perform frequent bending, and lift/move heavy kitchen equipment as required.
• Reliability: Punctual and dependable, especially during high-volume service hours.
• Team Spirit: A friendly, positive attitude that contributes to a professional and respectful kitchen culture.
• Flexibility: Availability to work a varying schedule, including late nights and weekends.
