Job Description: Event Staff
Location: Austin, TX
Pay: $18 - $20/hr

Schedule

• Seasonal, game-day shifts (times vary based on kickoff schedule)

Must check in at the designated meeting location to receive the assignment

Requirements

• A friendly, positive attitude with co-workers, managers, volunteers & guests (Required).
• Must arrive on time (late arrivals cannot be accommodated).
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and perform extensive walking throughout the building.
• Ability to handle frequent bending and lifting 15-20 pounds.
• Comfortable working in areas with exposure to loud noises.
• Must be in full uniform, including a hi-visibility vest (provided if needed).
• No use of phones, headphones, or electronics while on duty.
• Tobacco, vaping, and chewing tobacco are not permitted on-site.

What You’ll Do

As a Guest Services Host (Usher), you are key to ensuring a safe, welcoming, and memorable experience for every guest:

• Proactively welcome guests and assist with questions and requests.
• Identify opportunities to create memorable experiences for guests.
• Perform thorough ticket checks and scans to ensure valid access.
• Manage lines and provide directions to ticketed seats and other arena locations.
• Respond to and/or escalate guest complaints, concerns, and compliments.
• Assist guests with reasonable requests for accommodations, including wheelchair escort services.
• Maintain clear portals, aisles, and access paths for safety.
• Effectively communicate safety and security measures and report suspicious activity.
