Fixed Indemnity is a supplemental healthcare plan, not a major medical plan, designed to provide a fixed dollar amount used to cover basic healthcare needs.

Covers the most common medical expenses at an easy-to-afford price.

Our Fixed Indemnity Medical Plan pays a flat amount for each covered claim such as doctor’s office visits, x-rays, lab work, prescription drugs, in and out-patient benefits, emergency room visits, urgent care, and other day-to-day claims. It helps cover out-of-pocket costs with no deductibles and no co-pays, and is our most popular plan option because of its highly usable benefits.


Our Dental Insurance Plan includes coverage for regular exams, X-rays, fillings, oral surgery, crowns, and even dentures. Associates have the option to see any dentist they wish, but will pay less if the dentist is in-network.


Offsets cost of eye exams, lenses, frames, and contacts.

Our Vision Insurance Plan covers:

Eye examinations with a copay, allowance for frames, plastic lenses with a copay, and an allowance for disposable contacts.

Term Life

Our term life insurance pays beneficiary for employee coverage, and offers coverage for spouse and child dependents as well in lower increment amounts. 

Short-Term Disability

Our Short-Term Disability Insurance Plan begins after 7 days of disability, pays up to 26 weeks (not available to employees who work in CA, HI, NJ, NY, or RI as these states have their own designated disability programs).

Minimum Essential Coverage

Preventive and Wellness Benefits

The Minimum Essential Coverage Plan meets the Affordable Care Act’s definition of minimum coverage, providing benefits for testing, screening and wellness. Associates are able to select a different coverage level than the selected Fixed Indemnity and ancillary coverage level. This plan does not provide any coverage for sickness or accidents. 

Please note, this plan DOES NOT cover medical services. This plan provides coverage for preventive services such as immunization and routine health screening. It does not cover conditions caused by accident or illness.


How do Flexers qualify for these benefits?

Flexers are eligible to enroll for the Essential Staffcare supplemental fixed indemnity plans as of date of hire, with no additional eligibility requirements, online or over the phone. For those employees who live in Hawaii, Puerto Rico or New Hampshire, these plans are not offered due to state requirements. Upon enrollment, all elections take 2-3 paycheck periods processing time before selected coverages take into effect. 

Flexers have 30 days from receipt of their first paycheck to enroll, cancel, or make changes. After the 30 day enrollment period, the next opportunity to enroll, cancel, or make changes is during the annual open enrollment period or if they experience a qualifying life event with supporting documentation.

What is a qualifying life event?

A qualifying life event is a chance in your status due to one of the following events:

  • Marriage or divorce
  • Loss of dependent status
  • Employer bankruptcy
  • Birth or adoption of a child(ren)
  • Death of immediate family member
  • Termination
  • Loss of prior coverage
  • Medicare entitlement
  • Reduction of hours (under 30)

What other benefits are available to Flexers?

  • Flexers will receive one W-2 for all work completed through Indeed Flex instead of separate W-2s for every site where shifts were worked.
  • Flexer are eligible to enroll in the Fidelity 401k plan as soon as the week after they receive their first paycheck, with a variety of benefits to enrollment such as:
      • Contribute up to an additional $7,500 for pre-tax and/or Roth deferrals for Flexers age 50 and over 
      • Multiple target date lifestyle and individual mutual fund investment options to choose from
      • 100% vesting in plan begins immediately upon enrollment
      • Paperless enrollment online or over phone
  • Flexers who have worked at least 1 year and a total of 1,560 hours are eligible for the EAP through ComPsych which provides Flexers-

How do Flexers enroll or make changes following a qualifying life event?

To make a change to existing coverage or to enroll during Open Enrollment or a qualifying life event, there are 3 contact options.


  • Option 1: First time enrollees

    If you are enrolling for the first time, use your mobile device
    or desktop and go to and complete your electronic enrollment form.
