Event Prep Cook | Private Events & Weddings

Location: Chicago, IL
Shift Type: Event-Based | Flexible Scheduling
Pay Rate: $15–$18/hour (based on experience & event needs)

Indeed Flex is hiring Event Prep Cooks to support weddings, private celebrations, galas, and corporate functions across Chicago. This role is ideal for detail-oriented kitchen professionals who enjoy behind-the-scenes work that helps elevate high-quality event dining experiences.

Interview Requirement: Please arrive dressed in proper kitchen attire.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous prep cook, kitchen assistant, or culinary experience preferred
• Familiarity with knife skills, food prep, and kitchen organization
• Non-slip shoes and appropriate kitchen uniform required
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork skills

Key Responsibilities

• Wash, chop, slice, and prepare ingredients for event menus
• Assist line cooks and chefs with food prep and station setup
• Label, store, and rotate ingredients following food safety standards
• Maintain clean, organized prep areas and equipment
• Support breakdown and post-event kitchen cleanup
