AI Headset Tester — Austin, TX

Indeed Flex is engaging Flexers to provide data capture services supporting the development of AI systems. This role involves recording real-world, everyday domestic tasks using mobile applications and specialized head-mounted equipment.

THE ROLE

• Fully flexible assignments — choose when to provide services and which tasks to record • Recording reflects natural, non-scripted activity
• Task type and recording volume may vary by assignment based on operational needs

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Use a mobile application to record first-person footage of domestic activities (e.g., cooking, cleaning, organizing)
• Mount provided hardware (headstrap) to ensure correct field of vision for data collection
• Follow technical guidelines to ensure footage meets quality standards required for AI training • Optimize recorded hours by referencing provided technical guides

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Based in the greater Austin area, to facilitate equipment collection and initial briefing at our local Domain HQ • Able to follow technical guidelines independently
• Comfortable recording in a domestic environment
• Own a compatible smartphone (see device requirements below)

DEVICE REQUIREMENTS

• iOS Devices: iPhone 12 or newer
• Android Devices: Released within the last 5 years (Android 10+)
• Memory (RAM): Minimum 6GB RAM
• Camera Lens: Working 0.5x ultra-wide zoom lens
• Pre-installed Software: Apple TestFlight (required for iOS users)

HEALTH & SAFETY

Flexers must comply with relevant health and safety requirements while carrying out services. Recording sessions are advised to be kept to a duration that remains comfortable for the Flexer.
