Austin, September 15, 2022 – Indeed Flex, the app for temporary workers, and Goodwill Central Texas, which supports marginalized communities through job training, hosted the first annual Austin Community Resource Fair for non-profits yesterday (Wednesday, September 14, 2022).
Indeed Flex, which enables job seekers to instantly find available short and long-term employment opportunities through an easy-to-use mobile app, has been based in Austin since being acquired by Indeed, the world’s largest jobs site in 2019.
It hosted the event alongside Goodwill Central Texas at the Goodwill Community Center on Norwood Park Blvd to build relationships with a range of community partners and help their members improve their resume writing and interview skills.
Fifteen non-profit organizations attended the event, including The Other Ones Foundation, Skillpoint Alliance, and St. Michael’s Veterans Service. Other attendees included American YouthWorks, LifeWorks Austin, and Austin Clubhouse.
The organizations hosted workshops, with Indeed Flex’s recruitment experts offering resume reviews and mock interviews to those interested in raising their candidate game.
Indeed Flex also donated 20 professional training courses to a raffle, to help job seekers learn key skills that will boost their employability and earning potential.
