Enter each day's clock-in, clock-out, and unpaid break in minutes. The calculator handles overnight shifts (when clock-out is earlier than clock-in), subtracts breaks, totals daily and weekly hours, and applies the federal FLSA weekly overtime rule (anything over 40 hours in a workweek). Add an optional hourly rate to estimate gross pay with time-and-a-half on overtime, switch between decimal hours and h:m display, convert 24-hour (military) times to a 12-hour clock, and download the result as a CSV timesheet.
When tracking your own hours for a weekly paycheck, double-checking a timesheet before you submit it, confirming overnight or split shifts were counted right, or estimating gross pay before payday.
Enter each day's clock-in and clock-out, then the unpaid break in minutes. The calculator finds the span between the two times, subtracts the break, and totals every day into a weekly figure. You can show the result as decimal hours (8.50) or as hours and minutes (8h 30m).
Yes — when your clock-out time is earlier than your clock-in (for example, in at 10:00 PM and out at 6:00 AM), the calculator treats it as an overnight shift and counts the hours across midnight instead of returning a negative number.
Enter the unpaid break for each day in minutes and it's subtracted from that day's worked time before the total. A 30-minute lunch on an 8.5-hour span leaves 8.0 paid hours. Paid breaks should not be entered, since they count as worked time.
It applies the federal FLSA weekly rule: hours worked over 40 in a single workweek are flagged as overtime at 1.5x. Some states also require daily overtime (California, for example, over 8 hours in a day); this tool uses the weekly rule, so check your state for daily thresholds.
Enter an optional hourly rate and the calculator multiplies regular hours by your rate and overtime hours by 1.5x, then adds them for an estimated weekly gross. For take-home pay after federal, state, and FICA withholding, send the gross through the Paycheck Calculator.
Yes — click Export CSV to download a timesheet with each day's hours plus weekly totals and your estimated pay, ready to open in a spreadsheet. Your inputs live only in your browser session; nothing is saved or uploaded.
